Coupon File Clutch

April from Forshee Designs was nice enough to allow me to test her pattern for her coupon file clutch.  She released the PDF pattern awhile ago but I still wanted to post about it.  The pattern directions are very clear and easy to follow.  She has also included pictures for anyone that is more of a visual learner.

I don’t really coupon so I don’t need this as a coupon clutch.  Instead, Lillian has taken it over as a marker case.  It fits them perfectly and is definitely cuter than some of the cases that you can buy.  You could also use this as a small purse or even a makeup bag.  So even though it’s called a coupon clutch it does not have to be used as one.

When sewing this, I messed up sewing the hook and loop tape on.  I did not know that you are actually supposed to keep all stitching on the hook and loop tape and none on the fabric.  When I sewed it, the fabric pulled in, so the flap was a little smaller than it was supposed to be.  When it’s closed it kind of makes the edges look a little different than it should (hence the top sticking out so much in the picture).

So if you like this clutch, head on over to Forshee Designs to purchase it and be sure to check out her other products.
